Create a diagram of your local area network quickly with this powerful network diagram maker and mapper, save it in popular graphical formats, copy and paste it to a document and export it to Microsoft Visio. The program scans LAN switches via SNMP.
Features: 10-Strike Network Diagram is a powerful network diagram maker. It also maps the network topology and the way devices are connected. The application scans a local area network using the ICMP, TCP and SNMP protocols. It then creates a local area network map. It uses a library of device icons to use in this diagram making. It is able to draw the connections between the devices for as complete connection diagram. It is necessary that the switches used in the network should support SNMP for the program to discover the connections.
The program starts with a map creation wizard. The first thing it does is to scan IP range. This tells the program how many devices are on the network. Hardware types, such as, local printers and network printers, switches, hubs, servers, database servers, routers, WiFi access points and so on are recognized. This is aided by network hardware search methods based on ICMP ping, TCP port scans, ARP requests etc. Data is acquired through the switches too. Additional information is obtained from IP and MAC addresses, NIC manufacturer, DNS name, OS type, connected printers, descriptions. It is thus able to create visual LAN maps and diagrams. You can save these as Visio charts, vector or raster images. The graphic editor drawing the diagrams is feature-rich and uses an object library; a wide range of network device icons, "stretching" lines and areas of different forms to generate professional looking diagrams easily.
Overall: The program is able to do a discovery and inventory of network assets and then create a professional map of your network too. Much of it is wizard based and is easy to use otherwise.
